There are only a few days left till I will be presenting my workshop for ‘The Classically Trained Piano Beginners’ at the MusicExpo 2014, the Barbican Centre in London on Friday, February 7 at 11.25.
To assist me with my workshop, I invited a young pianist Alanna Crouch from SE22 Piano School in East Dulwich, London. Alanna is seven years old and loves the fact that she shares a birthday with one of her favourite composers, Beethoven (December 16th). She loves music and started playing nursery rhymes by ear on the piano at age three. These days she enjoys playing both classical and jazz pieces. When she is not playing the piano she likes playing the violin, dancing, singing and most of all being mischievous with her older sister Keira.
Alanna’s piano teacher Lorraine Liyanage did not hesitate to recommend Alanna for the challenge of performing along with the professional jazz band at such an important event. She said that Alanna will be perfect! I could not agree more as ‘Super Duck’ has never sounded better. Come along and see for your self!
